Effective date: March 2, 2026  ·  HelloDoc Jamaica Limited

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on HelloDoc you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use the platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HelloDoc Jamaica Limited and are governed by the laws of Jamaica.

2. Who May Use HelloDoc

  • Patients — must be 18 years of age or older. Minors may use the platform only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
  • Healthcare staff — doctor, nurse, receptionist, facility manager, and administrator accounts are created and managed by your facility's HelloDoc administrator. Staff must hold valid professional licensure or operational authorization, as required by Jamaican law for their respective roles.

3. Patient Responsibilities

As a patient using HelloDoc, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete personal and medical information. Inaccurate information may affect the quality of care you receive.
  • Promptly update your health record when your information changes (e.g., new medications, changed address, updated emergency contact).
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share access to your account with any other person.
  • Notify us immediately at luke@hellodocja.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Platform Use and Limitations

HelloDoc is not an emergency service.

In a medical emergency, call 110 (Jamaica Emergency Services) or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on HelloDoc in a life-threatening situation.

  • HelloDoc is a health information management tool. It does not replace the professional judgement of licensed healthcare providers.
  • All clinical decisions — including diagnoses, treatment plans, and prescriptions — remain solely the responsibility of the licensed healthcare provider you consult.
  • You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could harm other users or HelloDoc.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of personal data on the platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

  • You may request a correction to any personal or clinical record you believe is inaccurate using the “Request a Data Correction” feature in your profile dashboard or by contacting us.
  • You may withdraw your consent for any specific doctor to access your medical records at any time through your dashboard without affecting the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before the withdrawal.
  • You have the right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Contact us to make a data access request.

6. Intellectual Property

The HelloDoc platform, including its design, software, and content, is owned by HelloDoc Jamaica Limited. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HelloDoc Jamaica Limited is not liable for:

  • Any clinical outcome arising from care provided by healthcare providers using the platform.
  • Loss or damage resulting from the accuracy of information you enter into the platform.
  • Temporary unavailability of the platform due to maintenance, technical faults, or events outside our reasonable control.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at luke@hellodocja.com. On termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements.

9. Changes to These Terms

We will notify registered users of any material changes to these Terms by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
