Cookie Policy

Effective date: March 3, 2026  ·  HelloDoc Jamaica Limited

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as your authentication session. Cookies are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide a consistent experience.

This policy explains the cookies HelloDoc uses, why we use them, and how you can manage them.

2. Cookies We Use

HelloDoc uses only strictly necessary session cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies set by third parties for marketing purposes.

Both cookies are set by the HelloDoc application itself (first-party cookies) using the Supabase authentication library. No third-party has access to these cookies.

3. Why We Use These Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the HelloDoc platform to function. They are the technical mechanism by which the application identifies you as an authenticated user. Without them, you would be required to log in on every page you visit.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the service to operate, they do not require your separate consent under applicable law. However, we disclose them here in the interest of full transparency as required by good privacy practice and the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020.

4. Cookies We Do Not Use

HelloDoc does not use:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies
  • Analytics or performance cookies (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Social media cookies (e.g., Facebook Pixel)
  • Third-party tracking cookies of any kind
  • Persistent cookies that remain after you close your browser (beyond the session)

Our security controls (including Content Security Policy and restricted third-party integrations) enforce this at the browser and application layers — tracking and advertising scripts are not permitted, and only approved service-provider domains are allowed.

5. How to Manage and Delete Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Deleting your HelloDoc authentication cookies will sign you out of the platform. You can also sign out through the application, which clears the session cookies automatically.

Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Note: blocking or deleting the authentication cookies will prevent you from using the HelloDoc platform, as they are strictly necessary for authentication.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we add or change the cookies used on the platform. Any material change will be reflected in an updated effective date at the top of this page. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
